Mailbox move from OlD version to new version

Hi:

OLD server is 8.0 version but now we want to zmmail move the mail boxes to 8.8 version.
From single server to multi environment . We already setup MTA, LDAP, Mailbox servers respectively.

Is the mailmove command able to do this ? old version mailbox compatible to new server 8.8 access??
