8.7.11_GA LDAP error after crash

Post by CadilLACi »

Hi there!

After a supervisor error, my virtualized Zimbra fails to start.

(Lost the backup disk    )

It is a Centos 7 based Zimbra 8.7.11 installation.

If i start zimbra with the "zmcontrol start" command, the following errors are given:

zmcontrol start
Host iroda.casastudio.hu
Search error: Unable to determine enabled services from ldap.
Enabled services read from cache. Service list may be inaccurate.
Starting zmconfigd...Failed.
Starting zmconfigd...failed.

And a lot more, all based on LDAP errors.

If I start ldap alone, after "zmcontrol stop", with "ldap start" command, it starts all right. "netstat -tulpn" shows that the port is taken all right.

There are no ldap errors in the zimbra.log file.

My DNS values are all right. Dig and ping show the right values.
I have free space on the partitions.
The ldap database isn't overflowing like 80G or so. It is just a few MP in size.
I have recreated new self assigned certs. (I ususally use letsencrypt certs for it, but tried recreating too)

I googled and browsed this forum too, but nothing seemed to work.
It is most likely a filesystem error I think, because of the crash.

The company in question gave me the weekend to fix it.

Pls help!

Given the small size of the company, I could fire up a new VM, make new accounts with the same creditentials and try to extract the emails form the old installation somehow... now, that the backup disk is gone, i don't know what else to do....
