Zimbra spam block

Post by vignesh0921 »

Hi ,

I am using zimbra 8.6.
Is there anyway to block spam mails when the antivirus and antispam service is down?
I have tried using /opt/zimbra/conf/salocal.cf.in for blocking spam but doesnt work.
Any help would be appreciated!

The simple answer is no, there isn't. My questions would be, why is your antispam and antivirus systems down and why would you think ZCS could block spam with those services not running?

When i enable anitspam and anitvirus services , my amavisd service doesn't run.
So i am unable to send mails.
Eventough when i start these services manually it says started but when i check in status it shows failed.

Then you should do some research in the log files and search the forums for details of what to look for and how to fix the problem. BTW, you ZCS version is rather old and you should consider moving to the most recent version.

I have already done a deep research on this and was not able to fix this issue where i ended up disabling antivirus and anitspam services to get my mail server working.

How can you expect anyone to help when you've actually given no information about the problem other than 'it's not working'?
