Hi all,
Lately we have been having trouble with external calendar events updating on our Zimbra calendars. Also, when our users attempt to import an external iCal calendar .ics link into their Zimbra calendar, they receive the following error:
"Content could not be retrieved. Make sure the following URL is an RSS/ATOM feed: ..."
This is strange because we are importing the same calendars from the same systems we have been using for quite some time. The mailbox.log file shows the following exception errors:
"SoapEngine - handler exception
com.zimbra.common.service.ServiceException: invalid request: invalid url for feed:"
We have another Zimbra mail server that is on the exact same version as the problematic one and is operating just fine.
We are running Zimbra version 8.8.12 with ZeXtras 2.16.0. This was also occurring on 8.8.9 and we upgraded to see if that would resolve it, but it didn't. Has anybody else experienced this problem or know of a solution?

I found that this new behavior is a side effect from the ZBUG-913 Fix https://github.com/Zimbra/zm-mailbox/pull/863.
I don't know if this is a bug or not, but you need to change your .ics IP address to one outside the network where zimbra is.
