How to setup active active HA of zimbra

Post by umesh_ »

I have to setup a active active zimbra HA. I tried doing that by using drbd but with drbd you have to manually mount the partition. I want to be able to setup a system which will write on both nodes simultaneously. so that if one nodes goes down I am able to manage users in zimbra.

You're description isn't how HA works, it does automatically switch to another server if the primary goes down and your description doesn't make sense and I'm guessing you haven't configured it correctly. You should read some of the articles on how to implement HA with drbd/heartbeat - see here:https://www.startpage.com/do/dsearch?qu ... ge=english

thanks for prompt response. I am setting up HA for testing. HA has two part one part is corosync and pacemaker which switches IP from primary to secondary server. Second part is drbd which provides data replication. But drbd does not shift storage to secondary server automatically. I came across this answer

https://serverfault.com/questions/64154 ... ount-point

which is important because if i want to create some user while primary is down I cannot do that because it is in read only mode in drbd. I believe this is active passive cluster that is mentioned in the article by pacemaker, corosync and drbd
