Problem viewing appointment details

Hey,
im running Release 8.0.0.GA.5434.UBUNTU12.64 UBUNTU12_64 FOSS edition. on Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS.
When trying to create an appointment on a calendar, im sent to the first short view to insert details.

When clicking "more details", the window disappears and im back on the calendar overview.
I have tried setting the COS setting to directly show new appointments in detailview, but then trying to

create a new appointment just ceases to work at all.
