Hide from GAL

Hey,
I just migrated my company to Zimbra on Friday and am in the process of setting up some email accounts that will be used by SugarCRMs email capabilities. I'd like to hide these accounts from the GAL but I don't seem to have that option. Is this just something I'm missing or is this something that's not yet implemented in Zimbra?

At this point there is no way to hide them from the GAL. It's on or off, ie no per address switch.

Seems like a reasonable request. No idea when we'll get to it.

It would be easy enough to add a new boolean attribute like "zimbraHideInGal", and add it to the default GAL LDAP search we do. We could then also expose it is a checkbox in the admin console.

That would be great. I'm sure I can't be the only one interested in this feature. It's something I can live without for now but if it could be on the map for the near future I for one would be quite happy.

According to the Bugzilla, ticket# 5466 has been completed and marked as closed. Any idea when this feature will be made available as either a minor upgrade or simple patch?

It will be part of the 3.2 release. Beta coming in a couple weeks, release sometime after that.
