Hi,
I am creating a windows service which will monitor a mail server and reads the contents of the mails and updates in the database. My problem is I am not able to access the inbox folder of the mailserver.
How can i access the inbox folder. What is the url that i should give to access the inbox folder..

You can use the RSS feed.

Url for accessing the inbox folder.
Can you give me a "for example" ?
I tried this:
Does">http://smtp.2022708968.com/service/scot ... /inbox.rss
Does that look right? Or am I doing something stupid?
( Running 3.1.4 )

Scott,
Try this:
http:// zimbra server>/service/user//inbox.rss
replace "" with your domain name
replace "" with your email account user@domain.com or user should be fine depending on how your machine is setup.
Good to see another Virginia area user

Yeah, I don't know how you would pull info from Outlook Express.
If you pull from the Zimbra server directly you won't have to deal with Outlook Express running, so I might try to do the RSS feed as described above.

You could always use this OE plug-in then get the RSS feed from your Zimbra server. You haven't mentioned it but I assume you are using Zimbra?

Probably a silly question but are you actually using an RSS reader? If so which one? This technique does work using this url:
/zimbra/home/bpye/inbox.rsshttp:///zimbra/home/bpye/inbox.rss>
When you enter I just use the part without the FQDN and don't forget this is an authenticated feed - you will need the FQDN login name and password to get the feed.
