I'm in the process of installing Zimbra for evaluation, comparing it to Open-Xchange. Can someone tell me if Zimbra supports a remote IMAPD? If so, I'm assuming that the target server would be set in an LDAP entry. Would I be correct? Would this be the same for the SMTP server?
Also, OX uses the IMAP subscription and access control features to share common mailboxes. Is mailbox sharing also supported in Zimbra and is it supported in the same way using IMAP subscription and ACL?
------
After additional forum searches I learned that Zimbra does not support an external imap email server. I will continue looking for OX alternatives.

We have shared calendar and shared contacts today. With Outlook in 4.0 you can have shared mail as well. We plan to add mail sharing to the web client in a future release.
