Storage increase or add...

Post by firefox32 »

Hi,

I try to use zimbra appliance (VMZ) with vmware server 2.0.0.

I wuold like to know how is it possibile to increase storage space or add a new one.

I read in the ZCA Administration Guide: "You should

regularly monitor the disk capacity and when disks reach the 85% full

threshold, you should plan to add additional disk space." but how to do it?
Tnx in advance,

Not that simple actually since the appliance is using logical disks (lvm2). I am trying to do the same since this morning and since I never used logical volumes I am a bit struggling ...

So I completed it. The easiest way I found is to create a new virtual hard drive. Then under ubuntu, follow the instruction of that article

Partition extension using LMV(Logical Volume Manager) - ºÇ®Æüµ

In fact it is quite easy finally .... Just add a new disk to your virtual machine and run from a terminal

sudo /etc/init.d/zimbraExpandLV start
