Setting to Reply as other User, if replying in shared Mailbox

Post by v1rtu4l »

We got the usecase that sometimes user Max will have to reply to messages sent to Peter. Max has Peters inbox shared so he can see incoming mail of Peter. If Max clicks reply on one of those mails the sender is Max by default. Is there a setting to change the default sender when you reply to Mails that are not in your own folder but a shared folder ? I know that you can manually choose to send as another user, but i would like to have it by default, so one Person could actually operate more than 2 Mailboxes and reply without manually setting the correct sender address.

is there such a setting already ?

Hello v1rtu4l!

You can find the appropriate option in the persona's settings, under Preferences -> Accounts -> [persona] -> Settings for Sent Items...

Hey cine, thank you for the heads up. I actually used personas already, but did not use there features i read about in your Link. That totally fixes my problem. Thank you very much

is it by design, that those personas are not available in the mobile website version that i can use in the mobile browser (chrome on android). it basically does not honor the settings done in the full web client.
if it is not by design i would register a bug.
