Hi,
I am trying to switch from Google Calender to Zimbra.
The Problem is, I can't import to "large" Calenders (private and business).
They are both about 1,5 mb.
Everytime I try to import thos calenders I get the following error
"Error while parsing
parse error: Caught ParseException parsing calender:
net.fortuna.ical4j.data.ParserException: Error while parsing VEVENT"
Any ideas how I can fix that error?
Thanks for the help.
Import of GCal Calenders not working "parse error"

I have exactly the same problem. Did you manage to solve it in the meantime?
Best,
Thorsten

Is that all it says in the stack trace?
Re: Import of GCal Calenders not working "parse error"
This is what it says:
A parsing error has occurred.
parse error: Caught ParseException parsing calendar: net.fortuna.ical4j.data.ParserException: Error while parsing VEVENT

Re: Import of GCal Calenders not working "parse error"
Is that what the user sees in ZWC? If so, there may be more information in /opt/zimbra/log/mailbox.log on the server. Worth looking there.
Basically, there is something in the import file that our parser is unhappy with.
Alternatively, if you were happy to supply the import file, I could have a look. PM me if you want to go down that route.

Re: Import of GCal Calenders not working "parse error"
Hey guys, I know this thread is old, but I didnt want to open a new one for it. I have the exact same problem.. I just cannot import my .ics file from Thunderbird into Zimbra. I'm getting the same error as the threadstarter. In Thunderbird, there is an option in the calendar for "Offline-Support". When I check this option, the .ics file is about 50kb, while leaving the option unchecked, the file is about 1mb and thus too big or whatever the problem may be. Is there an option so get a more detailed log to sort out the specific error? Maybe it is enough to remove the string which is causing the error..
Error message: A parsing error has occured. parse error: Caught ParseException parsing calendar: net.fortuna.ical4j.data.ParserException: Error while parsing VEVENT
PLease help!

Any more information on this? We are getting the following error
Caught ParseException parsing calendar: net.fortuna.ical4j.data.ParserException: Exp
Caught ParseException parsing calendar: net.fortuna.ical4j.data.ParserException: Exp
