Meeting invitations received from external domain blackberry user ignored

Post by rsavage37 »

I have external domain users that send meeting invitations to Zimbra configured domain from Blackberry Z10/Z30. Zimbra receives the message but completely ignores the meeting request.  If I check the original message as shown below, the invite is included, using the exact same external domain account but sending from outlook works as expected. Any ideas?

Meeting invitations received from external domain blackberry user ignored

Post by rsavage37 »

So further investigation on this confirms what I have suspected. From a non-BES connected Blackberry, I can send meeting requests to every other device type that I have access to including a Macbook, iPhone, and even a Linux system. So for some reason Zimbra ignores the meeting request, when everything else that I have access to acknowledges the ics meeting request file and allows me to process it. I am not trying to have a Blackberry or any other device 'sync' with Zimbra, that is not functionality we currently need, I am simply trying to get meeting requests to be properly processed. A note however, if I setup an email account on a Blackberry through Zimbra managed domain, the attachment is processed fine on the Blackberry, but the meeting request still isn't in Zimbra.
