iCal sync failing with shared calendars

Post by travisbell »

Hey guys, I am getting the following error in my sync.log file...
[ZimbraHelper] Caught exception while trying to sync calendars: name = NSInvalidArgumentException, reason = *** -[ZimbraClient UTF8String]: selector not recognized [self = 0x489f50] (8285)

[ZimbraHelper] cancelling sync (8285)

[assert] error: !err

[assert] where: "ZimbraHelper_main.mm", "Sync", line: 2168
And upon trying to sync a shared calendar the iSync connector reports and error saying it encountered an error and is reverting back to the last saved version.
I am using 0.9.14 with Zimbra 4.0.2 on OS X Server. Any idea how I can make this work?
Thanks!

You should get the latest version from the support portal. 4.1.0_330 It has lots of fixes and will be much easier to debug. In particular many fixes with iCal and calendar entires.

Do not use 4.1.0_330 for shared calendar support! It has a destructive bug in it that can lead to the original owners calendar being deleted (Bug 11241) . This has just been fixed so wait for the next beta release for shared calendar support.
So pleased I had backups when I found that one!
Cheers

*sigh*
It seems I may never get company wide shared calendar support.

Just don't delete shared calendars ;)
Seriously though we are testing a new version internally which has this fix and many more performance fixes. So far so good. We hope to have this out very soon.
