Looking through the forums there appears to be many requests for syncing the Zimbra GAL with Thunderbird. I have been able to a personal address book to sync, but not the GAL itself. Is there a way to sync the GAL through CardDAV? What is the URL for this request?
Any definitive, current answer that applies to Zimbra version 8.0.7 and Thunderbird 31.4.0 would be most appreciated.

No there isn't a way to do this currently that is built into Zimbra.

for GAL access from TB, i think the only way is adding the LDAP directory to the TB addressbook and then the GAL contacts will be available when you start to type your mail recipents. still not a solution for the sync feature.

i'm looking for this functionality. so far tried with sogos connector, but it doesn't sync groups/lists.
i think it is a really important feature, as the zindus extension is not developed anymore.
