To whom it may concern:
I am using my pop for outlook because my boss requires that we keep messages on our hard drive. However, I am using gmail via mail forwarding and outgoing through smtp and "send as" function. Unfortunately, none of my sent messages are showing up in the zimbra sent mailbox.
I would like to keep sent messages on the server as well as gmail. We are using syscomusa services via ocean.syscomusa.com for smtp.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

No sent messages when sending via smtp using gmail
I am suggesting you to use thunderbird as mail client zimbra.
there are setting to place copy of sent msg in specified location on your hard drive
that is all I can say. because I not using outlook.
thunderbird works fine on my zimbra.
Regard,
elitecheetah

Thank you elitecheetah for your reply. I have spoken with a computer friend of mine who said to use IMAP with GMail and I can still use pop with outlook and keep everything on zimbra server. He also suggested that smtp would only stay on gmail as it is the process for this protocol.
Thank you again for your assistance.
