Hi,
On Nov 10 I updated to 8.5.1 from 8.5.0 (latest patch/release), now every 24hrs of uptime, the server will hang with the following message displayed on the screen (over and over):
INFO task java:21547 blocked for more than 120 seconds.
"echo 0 > /proc/sys/kernel/hung_task_timeout_secs" disables this message.
This server is running on a MS 2012 Hyper-V host, guest OS is CentOS 6.6 with Guest Services enabled & Linux Integration Services (hyperv-daemons) installed. It has 2x 1.5GHz cores and 8GB of RAM assigned to it. I've not had any issues with 8.5.0 until now.
Does anyone have suggestions for further troubleshooting this issue please?
Many thanks,
Verta
After updating to 8.5.1, ever 24hrs the server crashes with "INFO: task java:4242 blocked for more than 120 seconds." on console

i would start with pouring over your logs, mailboxd, access, and messages. Because its a server hang you may want to start troubleshooting the OS by disabling/shutting down zimbra and seeing if the server stays up. if so, then start troubleshooting zimbra.

check /opt/zimbra/log/gc.log
mailbox.log (for errors)
stacktrace.numbers.numbers
trace_log.date
