Our server drives went down and we paid a big sum of money to a data recovery firm to recover about 90% of the data. The data was a virtual Zimbra 7.2.7 on Debian 5. The operating system is fine but the zimbra installation is broken. I need someone to fix the installation so we can bring it up and migrate the users mails to our new server. The zimbra install is about 350GB. The server went down in Oct 19th. We only have a full working backup from Feb 10th. But since then we added users and closed some accounts. As a last resort we can always go back to Feb 10th server but then we loose all the emails since then till Oct 19th. Also, we would have waisted the tons of money we paid to recover the data. So please, if anyone can help, please contact me.

The server crashed Oct 19th. The data company recovered all most all of it (about 80 to 85%). We have a full backup of the server from Feb 10th 2015 but since Feb 10th we received a bunch of emails and closed some accounts and added new ones. The recovery company provided us with two recovered directories on NTFS volume now attached as USB drive to zimbra server. They recovered onto a NTFS volume so all simbolic links are gone. I copied the two directories and saved the original Feb10th in the /opt directory. One is the main zimbra directory and one with some extra (possibly duplicate) files in the store directory of zimbra. So maybe you need to somehow merge the two directries. The server's original name was mail.pkguis.com but we used it for our exchange server until the zimbra server can be fixed. I changed the hostname to zimbra.pkguis.com and made available only on our private network. I tried to zmsetservername but could not get it to work properly. I also tried to reinstall zimbra 7.2.7 software but it keeps failing at ldap install and has some other problems. Maybe the ldap and/or MySQL database are corrupt and I don't know what else. We need zimbra to be back online with as much of the emails in as possible so we can migrate it to exchange. Can you do it and about how much will it cost?

We have OpenVPN setup so who ever we hire can ssh into the server and work on it. It is the latest version of OpenVPN (should work in windows, linux, or mac). Thanks
