Font Smoothing in Latest Ubuntu 18 Distros

Only POP OS by System76 works. If you install Zimbra Desktop you get fonts that look like this (SEE ATTACHED)
I cannot figure out how to clean up the screen smoothing. Ubuntu, Linuxmint, Ubuntu MATE, Kubuntu... All dont work but POP OS which is also a Ubuntu derivative.

I would like to stick with Ubuntu MATE. Please help. ZD is the ONLY app which does this in all of them. Started at Ubuntu 18. Never was an issue for Ubuntu 17.
