SMTP Error with Yahoo

I want to connect to my yahoo account but I can't. SMTP error it says.

And I had to reset a Yahoo configuration to allow connections with 'less secure' servers. Which they warn me against doing. is that a serious thing or not to worry about?

What kind of SMTP error you are receiving? There are various SMTP series like 4xx and 5xx error codes. Please provide some more details.
