zimbra desktop 7.2.5 not syncing with ZCS 8.6

Getting a "zclient.IO_ERROR: Remote host closed connection during handshake" error when using SSL and no error when using no encryption BUT, only the tags are syncing, not the emails or contacts (or anything else)

I'm having this same issue, it must be because of the protocol and cipher suite changes in 8.6 due to POODLE. Is there anyway to fix this?
