Mac OS X El Capitan & Zimbra Desktop 7.2.7 Not Synching Mail

If Zimbra Desktop had a sync failure, it may have told you to post your error in this section.

Mac OS X El Capitan & Zimbra Desktop 7.2.7 Not Synching Mail

Post by BDOWNS »

Hello,

I am posting the below two error messages that we continue to receive on our Macbook Pro Machine running the new MAC OS X El Capitan & Zimbra Desktop 7.2.7.  We are not sure if or how the two error messages might be related, if at all?  Zambia webmail works just fine over the years and mail comes through to the IOS devices as well.  However as you can see from the first error message below, we are able to synch, it takes 30 minutes or longer and then as soon as the sync finishes we get the second error below and the red circle with the white "x" remains constant and the Zimbra Desktop becomes useless?

We are not sure how to troubleshoot these errors or even what the problem might be?  We would kindly like to ask if anyone else has ever received these errors and if there might be a solution to our problem.  We appreciate any thoughts you might have and thank you in advance for taking the time to help us?

Thank you,
Brad-

Both errors which you have shown here not related. First one seems to be more serious. Few questions below -

- Make sure you have updated version of Java.

- What is your RAM size? You can go to one of the script at /Applications/Zimbra Desktop/data/bin/zdesktop and can update heap size in following

variable.

#JAVA_HEAP="-Xms32m -Xmx512m" (Make sure you take update of this script)

In above variable increase value of -Xmx parameter.

After changing this file just restart your ZD, so that next time modified heap size will be taken by ZD.

Let me know if this helps.
