Hello
We will asap starting to analyze the code and update it to Funambol 3. Ev we have to discuss if we should directly go to version 6. Is there a kind of documentation for this code avialable?

To borrow a old Open Source kool-aide expression, the code is the documentation ;-)
Starting to look at it, I suspect that if we are going to have to do work to get it up to date, we might as well go all the way up to the newest version, unless the API's are horribly different.

That would be the approach I'd take. Port this to the latest Zimbra and Funambol then test and debug from there to fix issues. Otherwise you may be hitting issues that are already fixed in the later releases of each.
