[SOLVED] Screen Sharing

Post by aguerreiro »

Hello,

I've been able to test all the features of Zimbra Talk for a prospective customer we have (which is running ZCS 8.6 NE)
I was only unable to test the Screen Sharing feature.
From what I've found about jitsi-meet (the video chat component included in Zimbra Talk) the user will need to install a specific Chrome extension for his Chat/XMPP server:
https://github.com/jitsi/jitsi-meet/issues/192

Is this the requirement? I think these aspects should be documented in some way in Zimbra Talk Installation Guide.

Thank you in advance

Hi,
You can find more information about it here: We will include it on the Installation guide soon, as we are trying to include it per default on the installation.

I managed to build and install a Chrome Extension based on jidesha but trying to share the screen I get the window/screen dialog and then nothing happens.
I get the following ouput in Chrome Developer Tools:

BTW I'm testing on Chrome 50 for Windows.

Hi, you will not to believe this, but please apply this content to your file chrome/background.js: And then recompile the extension, should work.
