Currently running ZD 7.2.8 (build 12903) and received a notification about a new version being available about a week ago. Accepted the download, and allowed the install to go through. But it failed. No way in the client to check for updates or download updates, nothing on the website, sign up for RC testing still emails link to 12903 build...

Is there a place to download the latest build?

Reason you got notification week back is because of wrong version of file got uploaded on website (by mistake).

ZD 7.2.8 is not yet GA and link for downloading ZD is https://www.zimbra.com/downloads/zimbra-desktop/.
We are trying to get 7.2.8 out ASAP, till the time you can use RC build from blog.zimbra.com/2016/05/zimbra-desktop-7-2-8-release-candidate-now-available/.

I just got notification of an update again. Once again the install failed.

ZD 7.2.8 is officially released now. Which OS you are running on? Auto-update should have worked. You can download it manually from https://www.zimbra.com/downloads/zimbra-desktop/

Running Windows 10 Enterprise 64-bit

I just tried auto-upgrade on Windows-7(64 bit) and it works.
Can you tell me what exact error you get?
Flow of auto-update is as below:
- Looking for auto-update (progress bar)
- Getting License
- After accepting license, downloading starts
- After Downloading user get option of "Restart"
- After clicking "Restart" installation of new version starts.

Let me know where you stuck?

All that succeeds, upon restart it reports that the update failed.

If you can capture the snapshot of an error it would be great.

Following could be workaround to the problem you are facing with auto-update.

Launch ZD in administrator mode(Run as administrator) and then click on manual auto-update( "check for update" on right clicking zimbra icon from system tray) OR wait for popup to come with auto-update notification.
