Hey,
I'm having trouble configuring the chat through a proxy server.
My configuration: first proxy server and the second with other services (ldap, mta, mailbox)
I want to have access to chat server via proxy server by client xmpp and www.
How should I set up chat and where to install it?
I have version 8.7.9 updated with 8.6.6
- Zimbra Collaboration 8.6 Patch 9 now available (includes fix for CVE-2017-8802). Read the announcement.
- Zimbra Collaboration 8.8.7 + Zimbra Connector for Outlook 8.8.7 are available.. Read the announcement.
- Are you a Zimbra Developer? You can find some interesting stuff in our Official GitHub: https://github.com/Zimbra and check the Community Projects too: https://github.com/Zimbra-Community/
Chat via proxy
Re: Chat via proxy
Hello szy_mek!
You must install the Zimbra Chat in any mailbox server, Zimbra chat is a Zimbra extension so it works only with a running mailbox.
Once the extension is enabled (installed while installing/upgrading Zimbra CS) and the Zimlet is deployed and enabled (on coses/users) it will start to work without any configuration.
About the XMPP connections, be sure to expose the 5222/5223 ports of the mailbox.
Have a nice day,
