[SOLVED] 8.8 Beta licensing for network-ng

Hello all

In the initial Beta test announcement email, I have received the following testing rules
- All bugs will be reported through bugzilla with the 8.8 keyword 8_8_0_Beta_
- No Zimbra Support will be provided for the Zimbra Collaboration 8.8 Beta testing.
- Network Edition testers must use their actual license to have a functional platform. If you have any issues with your license, please open a Support Ticket.
OK, got it.
I have deployed an internal VM (by the way, Zimbra also runs smoothly on OpenNebula) and installed Zimbra 8.8. Beta on a Centos 7 machine.
After installing all packages , I have added our existing license (valid through September 2017).

However, in the Zimbra Administration pages, when accessing "Network Modules NG" > "Core" section, I get the following info:

Code: Select all

Admin: Unlicensed
Backup: Unlicensed
Mobile: Unlicensed
HSM: Unlicensed
I have opened case 00617091 in order to clarify the licensing part, but answer is not quite clear, stating there is no licensing for 8.8

So, either you should provide a "beta testing" license for 8.8, or enable all features for the existing licenses.

Thank you.

Hello,
Have you run the command to enable them?

Code: Select all

zmprov ms `zmhostname` zimbraNetworkModulesNGEnabled TRUE
zmmailboxdctl restart

Hello Stefaniu (sorry for my bad English),

Have You tried to import/install the license again ?

Does the server asked You to activate it ?

What does it displays in License tab (Configure > Global Settings > License) (number of mobile accounts, etc...) ?

Just for your information, it was okay for me with my 8.X license (same steps, import, activation, etc...)

The only difference with You is that my server is based on Ubuntu 16.04.

Thanks Pierre, reimporting/activating the license did the job!
