More spam on the Gallery & Forum Proflies

Post by phoenix »

Here & here & here  & here & here & here
There must be somebody around here that can search for keywords related to spammers and actually get this rubbish removed from the forum, is there anyone at home? I guess most of these are a hangover from the old forums but it's really not that difficult to enter a keyword (money, sex, drugs, loans, escorts, viagra, cialis, etc, etc...) and get a list of all these profiles, I imagine it's not really that difficult to search the profiles in the database directly and remove these offensive profiles.- perhaps the image of Zimbra hosting these links doesn't matter to anyone here?
This isn't the first time I've brought up this subject so I guess if nobody else is bothered then neither am I.
Regards

Bill

Hi phoenix,

You have right, more of this profiles are from 2011 or older, I've clean all the links that you posted and I will work with the Team to clean the rest. I will search in the profiles description like you suggested and we will clean everything. The first days in 2015 everything will be clean.

Also we will work on some security methods to mitigate the spam in the Profile Description.

Thank you very much for your feedback, if you have something really urgent you can send a PM to me and we will fix it really quick.

Best regards

Seriously is anyone even looking at stuff flagged as Spam? There's stuff in the Blackberry forum I flagged over a month ago that's still there. Why would we bother even putting the time in when it appears nobody within Telligent seems to care?

Yes, I'm removing spam as I find it but unless people report it then it may get missed. These forums are still a nightmare to manage and search, it's not as user (or moderator) friendly as the old forums. As far as the post you've mentioned, I certainly haven't seen any notification email about any reported messages recently so which specific post do you mean? I have just removed some spam from that forum, I guess they may be the posts you're talking about, unless you've got some more hidden away?
Regards

Bill

Hi Brad_C,

I can't see your report under the Abuse Management, is weird, let me take a look, are you sure the spam was on the Blackberry connector?

The were there the day I sent the report, which is about  month after I flagged them. They are no longer there so someone got to them.

That would be me that removed them, there were multiple posts in (I think) several forums.
