Great, thanks. Go easy on Tony P. though, OK? He has a lot of other important work to do...
Thanks,
Mark

Zimbra Collaboration 8.5.0 Patch 2 is here!
Hi Jorge!
I've just created bug #96002 about that patch. If installed, the patch will break logrotate on systems, that have rsyslogd installed.
Kind regards
Dennis

Zimbra Collaboration 8.5.0 Patch 2 is here!
When installing the patch on current Ubuntu 12.04 (with trusty kernel, Zimbra is FOSS edition, just updated from 8.0.7 to 8.5.0 before applying the patch), I got lots of warnings all saying
Use of uninitialized value in lc at bin/zmpatch.pl line 314.
There don't seem to be any problems, though, with one exception (don't know if introduced by 8.5.0 or by patch):
Ubuntu logrotate doesn't know the su option used in the new logrotate config file, so I'm getting a cron email daily saying
/etc/cron.daily/logrotate:
error: zimbra:33 unknown option 'su' -- ignoring line
error: zimbra:33 unexpected text
error: zimbra:45 unknown option 'su' -- ignoring line
error: zimbra:45 unexpected text
error: zimbra:58 unknown option 'su' -- ignoring line
error: zimbra:58 unexpected text
error: zimbra:73 unknown option 'su' -- ignoring line
error: zimbra:73 unexpected text
error: zimbra:88 unknown option 'su' -- ignoring line

error: zimbra:102 unknown option 'su' -- ignoring line

error: zimbra:160 unknown option 'su' -- ignoring line

error: zimbra:170 unknown option 'su' -- ignoring line

Plus, not only the web client showed NETWORK edition when reloading as stated in the patch description, the admin interface does, too. Does that mean something will expire after some time if I don't take action?

@zot Please see this bug https://bugzilla.zimbra.com/show_bug.cgi?id=96002 about the logrotate-thing (though it's about the line above the "su"-command)

Yes, already saw that, but that's an additional/different problem (and probably more severe than mine because mine is only annoying).

I'm sorry. I created the bug, because I apparently didn't read the release notes, correctly. After running zmsyslogsetup, theres no problem anymore.

thats right

I did run zmsyslogsetup after the patch, but the problem with the su lines persists, and the warnings during the patch process itself were not very nice, too.
Does nobody else see the same on Ubuntu?
I've commented out the su lines now, which, I guess, shouldn't be much of a problem. To be 100% safe, I added create lines with the zimbra user/group where they didn't exist already.
