Zimbra Collaboration Contest: Log Management, and the Winner is ...

Postby jorgedlcruz » Fri Mar 06, 2015 2:31 pm

Hi guys, today is the day! After a few days while some Engineers was taking a review to all the Participants Environments, finally we made a decision. It was kind of hard, because of the High Level of all of the Environments. Now if you excuse me, I want to show you first all the Environments, or you can just jump to the Winner :)

Please, I want to read the Winner!

And the Winner is ...

 Please, join to me to congratulate Alessandro Fortunati from the Company SEACOM, we think that has the best environment, but all the environments was really close in the vote process.

Engineers Words

Do you want to read some of our Engineers words? This is just a few of them, a lot of votes doesn't contain feedback:

1.- "I vote for Alessandro from Seacom. For me it was close between Laurent and Alessandro - Both have excellent display of statistics, and the infrastructure looks good.

Alessandro hand follows KISS - He's created a nice display for tracing messages, and has a display for brute force attacks and sync issues (which are both very common) and that's about it."

2.- "I'm also voting Alessandro from Seacom. Great setup, and an excellent use of Redis. But indeed, tough choice between his and Laurent."

3.- "Laurent - Yaziba --> Creative!"

4.- "Dennis Ploger from Getit, really nice and clean Dashboard, looks like really Zimbra based."

5.- "The informations showed by Laurent are very interesting and very important for architectures that are under heavy loads.

But on the other side the fact that Alessandro has encapsulated his architecture into doker make it is easily scalable, and the use of Zimbra ACLs to restrict access to the Kibana dashboard is a plus for the solution. Finally tracing the message is really the icing on the cake, a IT admin would love to have this option!"

Thank you to all the Participants

We want to say thank you, one more time, for the time of everyone that participate on the Contest, you will receive soon our special Gift Box, and also you had already your Appreciation Certificate in PDF.

If you are running a Zimbra Collaboration Environment, and want to have a Log Centralized Environment like one of you saw here, please contact directly with one of the Partners.

Has anyone successfully accessed the reference materials? It prompts for username and password. I presume this is the community credentials. I enter mine and the screen just stays blank with no activity. Really interested in viewing the material for the Alessandro Fortunati - SEACOM setup.

Did any of the participants share their configurations (e.g. grok patterns, es templates, etc.)?
