Post by jorgedlcruz »

Hi guys, a couple of days ago, Citrix has released an important issue that you need to be aware if you are using Citrix XenServer 6.5 and you are using the Space Reclamation feature (TRIM).

If you, or your Customers, are running Zimbra Collaboration over Citrix XenServer 6.5, please take a look into the Citrix issue to avoid have a data corruption.
Citrix Issue CTX200417
Information
Warning! - Customers running XenServer 6.5 must not use the Space Reclamation feature (TRIM) on LUNs larger than 2 TB until further notice as it might result in data corruption.
The label for this functionality in XenCenter is called Reclaim Freed Space and located under the host's Storage tab.
Background
Citrix has identified that using the TRIM feature can result in corruption of virtual machine’s virtual disks. Citrix Engineers are working on identifying the cause and providing a fix as soon as possible.
If you are affected by this behavior, contact Citrix Support.
