Has anyone migrated from Office 365 to Zimbra?
We have migrated from a simple LDAP server to Zimbra with no issues, but have a larger group of people running on Office 365 that I need to migrate over.
The domain and account setup is straight forward, but I would like the ability to migrate a few at a time instead of all at once (split domain).
Any help on setting this up is appreciated!
Cheers,
Derek

Migrate from Office 365 to Zimbra
Hi Derek,
You can use the Zimbra Accounting Migration Tool, I've wrote something for IMAP users, but I need to test much more about the possibility to migrate contacts, tasks, etc, but for now. Just the email, you can use this guide - https://wiki.zimbra.com/wiki/Jdelacruz- ... _8.0.x_8.x
Let me check it, and I will come with much more news.
Best regards

Hi derekcripps,
Also you can export all the .pst files and use the Migration tools that Zimbra provide in the Admin Console. Let us know.
Best regards

Migrate from Office 365 to Zimbra
Thanks very much!
I'm looking for a bit more help on the networking and cut-over side of the migrations though.
I don't want to have to configure everyone's Outlook and cell phones over in one weekend, and would prefer to migrate users over a week or so. How do you configure Zimbra, DNS and the Microsoft side so that mail flows to both systems until all users are migrated?
Thanks again,
Derek

Migrate from Office 365 to Zimbra
Hi derekcripps,
Usually you can use Split Domain, http://wiki.zimbra.com/wiki/Split_Domain but I'm not 100% sure if you can do it using Office 365 because you can't change nothing in the server side at Office 365.
The only docs that I've found is in Microsoft site, telling that is better use single domain, so looks like is not possible.

Let me take a look deeper
