Displaying always the total amount of mails in folder and not only new mails

We are running Zimbra 8.8 for some month now.
For one domain installed on the server, we would like to show always the total amount of mails inside the Inbox (or maybe other).
In Outlook this can be done quite easy with a single click. How does it work at the Zimbra webclient?

I first thought about changing the template, but this would effect all domains on server.

Just put the cursor over the folder name and you'll see a pop-up that gives you the total number of messages and the unread count plus the size of the mailbox, what's wrong with using that?

Hi Bill,
thank you for your reply.
I know about the mouse-over feature, but we actually need to see it right beside the folder name, same as it does with new mails.
