Running Zimbra 8.8.10 on CentOS 7. Going to upgrade to 8.8.15 soon.
I would like to connect to our Windows AD using LDAP, but have already created all the email accounts in Zimbra.
If I connect the Zimbra LDAP to AD, what will happen to accounts pre-existing in Zimbra, with similar email addresses?
I have Zimbra setup as a secondary, with Exchange as the primary.
Example: Say I have a Zimbra account, Fred@host.com and a Windows AD user domain\Fred with Exchange email account Fred@host.com.
What can I expect when I enable the connection to LDAP?
Can anyone point me to more information on what the LDAP connection does in Zimbra?
The reason I did not setup LDAP right at the start, is I needed to test the migration with a limited number of accounts first, so I did not want all my domain accounts in Zimbra right off the start.

Re: LDAP with same name accounts created in Zimbra
Hi, with LDAP connection your users will be able to connect to their Zimbra mail account using AD password.
