I unfortunately can confirm that forwarding emails via ActiveSync from Apple devices is broken since 10.1.10.
IOs is 18.5 (22F76).
So better stay away for now...

Historically, we have had big problems with sync failures in Outlook. Users are therefore rather tired of having to change (lower) the synctoken on a function that is supposed to work flawlessly. Not to mention the worry of not knowing when Outlook stops receiving email after a sync failure occurs....

right now I have just a guess: maybe java, respectively memory related.

Try this one (as zimbra): zmlocalconfig | grep -i java
and check those entries beginning with mailboxd_java

Compare with what you have on running systems.
