Server Migration
Alright. Understand. Duly noted. Understanding the limitations (sorta) about changing the host name do I have other options? For instance: 1. Could I build my new server following the standard installation procedures. 2. Export my user / mail data from my old install. 3. Import that data into my new...

Server Migration
Thanks for replying. I have not had much luck finding posts about server migrations that were successful. I have found a lot of conversation but not a lot of meat. I will chalk this up to my search strings maybe. To you points: I think I understand exactly what you are saying to do. And this was my ...

Server Migration
Hello All, I have been reading the forums looking for a way to accomplish this but have not found any details. What I have found is disturbing. I need some advise. I host email for 8 different domains. The server hardware that Zimbra is installed on is failing. We decided to build a new server and m...

Free T-Shirts. Just for fun.
We have a single proc home server. Here are the numbers:
Total Users = 21
Total Domains = 5
Memory: MemTotal: 1035788 kB
CPU: cpu MHz: 2083.203
Mem Per User = 1035788 / 21 = 48.16 Meg Per User
Proc per user = 2083.203 / 21 = 99.20 Mhz Per user

Zimbra stoped working
You guys/gals haven't led me astray yet. The above commands did fix my problem. When was this added? I have been doing the manual modifications as described in other posts since M2 (didn't use M1) and that seemed to work fine. Are there other options that can be passed into this tool such as an IP A...

Zimbra stoped working
Zimbra Team, I am still getting this error: "An unknown application error has occurred. Please correct any errors and retry. If the problem persists, please contact your System Aministrator. (INVALID_PDU)" but i think i know why. I run my server on port 8080 and not the default of 80. To d...

Zimbra stoped working
Zimbra Team, Was there ever a fix for this? I have recently upgraded from a working install of M3 to the M3 Update and am experiencing this problem. So far i have done the following: 1. My install slightly deviates from standard by changing the port from 80 to 8080 in /opt/zimbra//conf/server.xml an...

Another feature that i have not seen added that would be great is the ability to import data into the contact list. Perhaps a CSV type of import where i could take contacts from nearly anywhere and import them directly into zimbra. Also to extend this it would be nice to be able to email contact dat...

There was mention earlier about the diversity of the filtering options available for zimbra. I don't know how you guys handle this stuff under the covers but you do use Cyrus as your mailserver. Cyrus has an extension called Sieve that might make extending this functionallity easier. You can find de...

Nevermind,
