i found out what my issue was. zimbra doesn't seem to like using IP's instead of hostnames when subscribing to the calendars. i registered dns for the server and it worked fine.

i just tried that to no avail. it seems ical is trying to make the url http://user@name@domain_name/service/user/username/calendar.ics. could this be the reason? i think it may not be reading the '@' in the first username correctly. it is coming up as a %40

i am using ical. it does prompt me for one but does not allow me to login saying it has failed. my pass is correct.

i am using ical to try to view my calendar and it continues to say it has failed. i am trying to subscribe to a link in this fashion :
any">http://domain_name/service/user/user_name/calendar.ics
any ideas?

i added a user acct and it seems to be working now. not sure what the deal is.

i dont see anything related to mailbox in either. imho the logs look ok.
this is the only thing i noticed:

that would seem like a good thing to me.

mailbox is still down according to the webapp. any ideas?

changed the /etc/hosts to the one in the install. it worked. thanx.

after installing and starting up zimbra i wait a couple seconds and run 'zmcontrol status' and mailbox says stopped. has anyone else ran into this? i have checked to make sure there arent any other processes with conflicting ports. any ideas? additionally, the port 7071 is not being used by anything...
