OK, I installed it in my home directory. It loads up now, however, there is no text on the buttons in the web-based installer, and afterward it hangs at the Loading... screen. I can't find anything that looks vaguely like a log file. Nothing in logs/.

There is only one java process running, and also a zdesktop_unix_0.

Yes... it hangs there, and won't start.

I'm having the same problem. Same error about log4j under both Ubuntu 7.04 and Windows XP.
