Aye, I went with ext3 in the end on the basis that it has worked perfectly on other installs and I have no specific reason to go for ext4 (for our userbase size the performance differences are going to be minimal).

Not only will I have a full backup, I'll test that backup before proceeding - I have a VM in which the same Zimbra release is installed, which I occasionally restore the latest daily backup into to test things are well (I must get around to trying to automate that......
