My server has around 150 users. I do not have a mailbox size limit and my attachment size limit is 10MB. My backup folder has 30 days worth of backup files in it. Buy why is the ldap dump necessary?

Its not necessary when moving from 32bit to 32bit. The backup file is just that, a compressed backup. I can use backup files from a 32bit system on a 64bit system no problem. I don't understand why the data dump is necessary.
