If you just browse to http://remoteipaddres:8080 do you get the Funambol Demo login. If you not getting the Demo login at least then something is seriously wrong. Can you telnet to that remote IP on 8080 atleast?

Ok I think you have the wrong setting for your remote server.
The setting on your mobile phone and in Outlook should be in the formate.


The">http://hostname:8080/funambol/ds
The one with Soap in it is used in the Funambol Administration when you configure the Zimbra Connector settings.

I havent used the Outlook plugin before but check to see that your Remote Name is acutally working. Paste the remote name that you using into your browser. Here is a rough how to of what I did. I didnt have to change any certificates or anything like that but that may just be the way I have setup Zimbra. I have just dont a very basic default install of Zimbra
