Block IP

[quote user="dik23"]They don't have to be, it's where their email server is hosted that would matter[/QUOTE]
For sure.
You'll find that if you block all of Canada, people with Blackberries can no longer email you.
At least, that was my experience, since RIM hosts their servers up there.

SLAPD spamming the logs with No Connection!

Fresh machine and a fresh download of Zimbra tonight. Things went fine during the install, as usual. I see this A LOT in my logs though. Its kinda filling up my hard drive with this noise. Feb 28 21:16:38 mail slapd[638]: connection_read(34): no connection! Feb 28 21:16:38 mail slapd[638]: connectio...

OK anyway back to reality. The internet is hostile. You can block whoever you want. Ign...

[SOLVED] Forwarding a users email OFF SITE

So I fired a guy (hypothetically... maybe) and I would like to forward his email to his gmail account for him, but not waste a precious slot in my Network Edition licensed email accounts. Is there a way to forward all incoming email for: imfired@blah.com over to bob@gmail.com I must be missing this ...

[SOLVED] Testing mail server with Telnet - My experience

Ah ha! Damn you Cisco. Hope this helps: login to your firewall and turn off fixup, but you have to do it manually from command line, their GUI doesn't use this feature. NO FIXUP PROTOCOL SMTP 25 I am no longer greeted with 220 *************** when I login, but instead get the right header, and thing...

[SOLVED] Testing mail server with Telnet - My experience

Just for the sake of being insane, I tested this on a few other servers out there running Zimbra. Same behaviour. Anybody can confirm or deny? All servers are running version 6.XX either Network or Community. Someone? Anybody test this with their own server and share results? Feel I should also add ...

What does Zimbra Outlook Connector actually do? Free alternative to community ed?

I believe that the folks with the Blackberries I installed the Community Edition for are using them as simple POP/IMAP clients and they work fine. They don't get calendars or contacts, but email works fine.
