Same issue on Win 7 Home. Intermittent failure of messages with attachments. While it seems intermittent it has occurred on 2 emails from the same friend.
Could this be the result of a conflict with emails (with attachments) from certain email clients?

Signature resets
Does the desktop have a cache? If so how do I clear it. If not do I need to get admin to clear a cache on the server? I note that my signature is not reverting to an old plain text signature, it is reverting from HTML to plain text and converting the HTML signature to the following... Mark Capill | ...

Signature resets
I would just like to confirm that this behaviour continues.
At each restart my single HTML signature reverts to a plain text signature with HTML mark ups.
Every time I restart ZDS I have to replace the Plain text sig. With an HTML one.

zdesktop won't start (faulting app.) or uninstall (jvm found at {0} is damaged)
Issue occured with Desktop upgrade this morning UK time Feb 3rd 2009.
Upgrade was to V1.00.
I tried renaming Zdesktop to zdesktop old and then once directory was selected renaming back but that would not accept so I am now reloading my entire archive.

signature problem
I get the same message when trying to change the default signature. I note however that this applies to both the web client and the fat client.
