MS-WOPI to Office Web Apps for editing Zimbra Briefcase documents.
Has anyone tossed around the feasibility of integrating usage of MS Office Web Apps Server with Zimbra through the MS-WOPI protocol for editing and viewing documents in the browser with the office web suite? Either as a zimlet or even integrated into the Zimbra suite. It would seem to me that this f...

'Turn sync off' option still shows on folders moved over from deleted external accnt
Recently, I did a migration of users from Google Apps (G.A.) to an on-premise Zimbra NE install (7.2.2). My migration strategy was to add the G.A. account as an external IMAP account, sync over the mail, then delete the account setting (which moved the synced mail to the Trash folder), then moved th...

ZCS 8 - Mobile licensing change?
Its possible on IOS4+ with IMAP, CalDAV, CardDAV, But it far from simple to setup from a user standpoint.
You can use the iPhone Configuration Utility to distribute IMAP, CalDAV, and CardDAV account settings for your Zimbra server. It's really quite easy. A...

ZCS 8 - Mobile licensing change?
You should get in touch with your sales contact and tell them.
Yeah. That's just what I did. Hopefully more customers than just me mention the need for better communicating these license changes, in addition to Zimbra's advertising all of the added functi...

ZCS 8 - Mobile licensing change?
The reason that I brought this up is because I really don't like when vendors make a licensing change and don't make a concerted effort to inform their existing client base of changes. Such as, "Dear valued customer. If you upgrade to version X, please be aware that you will lose functionality ...

ZCS 8 - Mobile licensing change?
That is not what I am saying, Bill. I am saying that as of ZCS 7.2 only Pro licenses allow Mobile Syncing. Previous to 7.2, both Pro AND Standard licenses would allow Mobile Sync.

ZCS 8 - Mobile licensing change?
I called Zimbra sale and was told this is indeed the case. Zimbra Mobile only being included in pro licenses was instituted with ZCS 7.2 (How did I miss that?), which I have not implemented yet.

ZCS 8 - Mobile licensing change?
Looking at the comparison chart Zimbra - Compare Products I noticed an innocuous change that may have a big effect on my license costs. In the past, in ZCS 4.5, mobile syncing was an addon cost. In ZCS 5, 6, and 7, it was included with ALL network licenses (Std and Pro). But now it seems that ZCS 8 ...

zmschedulebackup: syntax for '-a all' and '--mail-report'
I was looking all over for information on how to use the properly implement the -a all and the --mail-report switches into the backup schedule on ZCS NE 7.1.3. I wanted my schedule to look exactly like the default schedule, except with a 14 day retention window. This is what I found out from guessin...
