Had the same problem here. Note the example in the help dialogue is "Example: ldap://ldap-master.example.com:389/". You (and I) forgot the ending slash.

Round-robin DNS works for MTA, but I believe you (obviously) run into lots of problems for mailbox stores. You'll need to specify one mailbox store to be your MTA Auth. If you're looking for redundancy on MTA Auth, DNS round-robin isn't the answer.

Finally solved this problem. Actually found 2 ways to solve:
1) Purchase and install signed certificate

2) Allow untrusted certificate - (run as zimbra user: zmlocalconfig -e ssl_allow_untrusted_certs=true)
