Patched ~/zimbramon/lib/Zimbra/Mon/Logger.pm locally (doing a "s/900/800/"), restarted zimbra, rotated the logs, can confirm that lines are shorter now, but alas... the logger dies after a couple of seconds with the same error as in my original post.

Don't have a /var/log/zimbra-stats.log, but below are excerpts from zmlogswatch.out and zimbra.log while issuing a zmloggerctl start. It seems that starting zmlogger does create or update files in the rrds directory but logger.sqlitedb stays untouched. This was a fresh Zimbra install. Is it possible...
