Is it still possible to get a free license for the Appliance? As I recall it was possible to obtain a free license for the appliance. There were some limitations, but I cant recall what they were now.
Any info appreciated.
Regards Peter.

Hi, I'm running a home Mail server, OSS version 7 on an unregistered SLES 11 server, at present I'm playing around with the version 8 appliance beta. Migrate from Open source to Appliance
Okay, cool. Thanks for that.
I assume these tools are available in the basic edition?
Any updates to end of beta? Last I saw was end of Q2.
Also, do you know if the Basic edition licence works on the 7 beta?
Presumably the beta will upgrade to the GA?

Migrate from Open source to Appliance
Hey guys, I'm running the Open Source edition as a personal mail server on SLES 11.1 and now I want to migrate to the Zimbra appliance.
I have done a practice move from server to server (SLES to SLES) and it all went fine, but would this be the same thing?
Thanks for any tips.
Regards Peter.

[SOLVED] Zimbra admin, no services, no stats running.
Thanks for those links, they did not come up in my googling. I must have had a bad google day that day. Anyway, it made interesting reading and I liked the idea of running this so Much : Note: as best practice, we always tail -f /var/log/messages on a separate terminal during installs and upgrades. ...

Hi, I have installed Zimbra 7 Network Edition ( trial ) on SLES 11. SP1 64 bit. It has been running fine for a few days now. [SOLVED] Zimbra offline, cannot access from localhost.
Thanks for you reply, however there were numerous issues with the VM as well, so I put it down to that and then decided to use the situation as a disaster recovery exercise. This is the Open Source version 7, SLES 64 bit version of Zimbra I am using. There are only 3 user accounts, only one of which...

I dont know what's happened here, but my Zimbra mail has gone offline. Webmail, zimbra desktop and Zimbra admin, none can access the server. Even on the server itself https://localhost:7071 fails to connect. I have restarted the server, even reinstalled Zimbra. I'm using version 7 running it on SLES...
