thanks, apparently my problem of mysql.server and mailboxd would not stated as running was causing by not using right mysql password after copying localconfig.xml from old server for migration purposes (centos 5 to centos 6 because zcs 8 only runs on centos 6)

how it was done? zmsetup.pl and choose to only install mysql?

any formula to calculate backup folder if I want to create a LUN for it?

found it, as zimbra user
1- create new group
zmprov cdl newgroup@domain.com
2- add member(s) to group
zmprov adlm newgroup@domain.com member1@domain.com
bash script is your friend, for multiple members + groups

on ZCS 8, how do I create a group/distribution list & add users into that group?
any example I that could follow on?

i had a situation where i need to be able to log in from a page to a NE & OSS mailbox where it is transparent to users which server there being brough to since zimbra-proxy only supported if both mailbox are NE

just as a note if someone else is having this issue, my solution is to check stop zimbra services with zmcontrol stop and then look for any running zimbra services (amavisd, clamd, memcached etc.) with netstat -tulnp | grep LISTEN, kill it with killall
