I have found the answer while looking for something else.
Under Preferences > General > Language you can change from English (US) to English (UK) and this also changes the regional format for the date settings.

changing the date format in briefcase

hi, Using Zimbra online mail, the date is displayed as Apr 07. I can work with that. However, in briefcase the file modified date is displayed as 4/8/2013. I would need to change that to dd/mm/yyyy The date as our office reads it 4th August hasn't happened yet... Is it possible to change this format...

Thanks jmadden and I am glad someone else is having this issue. a) I know it's not just a quirk on my system, b) or my server setup and c) (sorry for you), the more people who have the problem, someone may fix it! So thanks for sharing.

Hi Jerryboi, yes, I can move folders around, that's when I noticed the issue that the contents wasn't aligned with the subject.

Organise most used email folders as favourites

It is of course a personal thing, but the way our office uses the favourites, not just on Outlook but also Excel (which remembers often recently opened files) and Access where you have a favourite bar. Using saved searches is certainly something I will try out. But it is not just about finding email...
