Re: Troubleshooting GMail rejecting messages for DKIM/SPF/DMarc errors with GoDaddy DNS
I should also mention that I think GoDaddy was having problems while I was troubleshooting this. The dig and nslookup commands weren't returning txt records for a while. That's why the command-line tools (or an on-line tester like the ones at DMarcly.com) are recommended.

Troubleshooting GMail rejecting messages for DKIM/SPF/DMarc errors with GoDaddy DNS
OK, I should get a prize for the World's Longest Subject Line. But, while these tips can be used across the board, I wanted to mention some specific problems that we had with this. Our email had been working fine, DKIM and SPF had been set up properly according DMarcly.com's tests. Then in late Dece...

TLSv1.3, Outlook Errors, STARTTLS
I'm running Release 8.8.15_GA_3869.RHEL7_64_20190917004220 RHEL7_64 FOSS edition, Patch 8.8.15_P34 on a Dell Poweredge. We upgraded from 7 to 8, then from 8.5 (I think it was) to 8.8, which is where we're at now. The issue I've got is trying to get Outlook to agree with our server. Knowing that it's...

Re: Barracuda passes the email, Zimbra drops it
I think I found it! We have a Barracuda 300; in Basic->Outbound, at the top, Outbound SMTP Host (Smart Host) was left blank. In the section, "Relay using Trusted IP Range," I entered the IP address of our server. In Zimbra: Global Settings->MTA, Relay MTA For External Delivery, IP address ...

Re: Barracuda passes the email, Zimbra drops it
I looked through my old notes and couldn't find how I fixed it. I remember that it was a single setting, but for the life of me, I can't remember where. Sorry ...

Re: SPF Problem
Read carefully what Phoenix has said. He's steering you in the right direction. For a DNS record to work all over the Internet, the SPF and DKIM records must be inserted in your *authoritative* server. This is just a guess, but it sounds to me like the records have been entered into your local DNS s...

Re: The Old 530 5.7.1 Error Redux ...
One final post (for now, anyway) just in case someone else runs across this. I installed Zimbra 8.6 on a spare machine today and played with it. First, without a relayhost in postfix/conf/main.cf, I was able to send email to the outside world just fine. I then went into Zimbra Admin, added the IP ad...

Re: The Old 530 5.7.1 Error Redux ...
Thanks, Bill. I'm going to check a couple of other things later today. I *think* what is happening is that the MTA Relay field in the postfix configuration is not being cleared to a blank string, even though it has been set to the blank string in Zimbra Admin. I'm going to look into that. If that's ...

OH-KAY: A bit more info. Tonight, I set up our pfsense firewall to do a packet capture on anything headed to the IP address of the spam filter of my personal ISP (hiwaay.net, their mail is handled by antespam.com). With Barracuda inline, everything worked fine, as mentioned above. I bypassed Barracu...
